Wall pockets were very popular in the 1940 and 1950 eras and are considered collectibles today. Used originally for fresh flowers, dried flowers, matches, potpourri, or just a handy place to put something, wall pockets take many shapes. Two of the most popular designs are fruits and vegetables. This big red juicy tomato made by Kato Kogei of Japan is in very good vintage condition, light use. Measures 4 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Excellent color.
