This is from Ball Corp., the Ball jar people. The art is an acrylic circle with an etched artist's rendering of a Clipper Ship scene. This was made in 1976 by the Ball Plastics division of Evansville, Indiana. Signed by the artist. Comes with a walnut stand. New in box, all the original paperwork and packing materials. There is a warning not to put this in direct sunlight because it can intensify the sun's rays. Thick acrylic, the disc measures 7 inches around. The walnut stand is about 3.5 inches long and is especially designed for this piece. There is a notch in the disc that inserts into the stand. The disc changes hue throughout the day, depending on the light. With original box, this item weighs 12 ounces.
