Framed Mid-Century Tray Puzzle: Robert Doremus, Illustrator

Sorry, this item has sold.

A fun day at the fair. This mid-century tray puzzle, produced by Whitman Publishing, was illustrated by Robert L. Doremus, who died in 2010 at the age of 96. His work appeared in hundreds of books, textbooks, posters and educational materials. This puzzle is from a set of four tray puzzles titled "Things That Go". Mounted in a recycled wooden frame, painted yellow with a green background, this work recalls another time and place. Under glass, ready to hang. Puzzle is 13 inches wide and 10 inches high. Outside the frame measures 14 inches wide and 11 inches tall. This piece weighs 1 pound, 13 ounces.

I love this puzzle placed in a frame. A picture representing a 1950's carnival. Reminds me of going to carnivals on the levee on the Mississippi river in Il. So fun!! Thank you. Packaged very well. Patricia.
